So this is a throwback to the 70s Saturday morning Filmation cartoon, Tarzan. The first actual, no pictures except the cover, book I read was Tarzan #1 because of this cartoon series. You may be thinking "So why not Tarzan?" He's coming, he's coming, just wait. So for those of you too young for these cartoon, Phobeg is a gladiator/prisoner/captain of the guard of the the Lost City of Gold (Tarzan #16, had to look it up to be sure.) In the story, Tarzan spares Phobeg's life after the queen gives Tarzan the thumbs down. He in turn helps out Tarzan later in the story. Phobeg turns up again in the cartoon series and the book (I think...it's been awhile) as a friend of Tarzan. It was my first introduction to the bad guy does not always have to be bad. To quote Zangief from Wreck It Ralph, "You are a bad guy, this does not mean you are a bad guy." Anyway, This Phobeg is mostly Radioactive Man. I swapped out his lower legs with Hercules' and sculpted he boots. A little sculpt for the bracers and chest plate. The chest straps are rubber bands and the skirt is foam strips. Hope you like it.
