For 20 years, I've been exposed to Batman in many different forms. Nothing is more iconic to me than that round winged bat encased in a yellow elipse, but more iconic still is the grey and blue costume that was prominent all the way up to the turn of the century. And is still today featured heavily on merchandise. This is the Batman of my childhood. Of course, I was watching The Animated Series growing up, but I was always convinced that the bat costume in the first season was a deep blue and grey due to the way it was shaded.

Mattel finally released the blue and grey Batman I wanted in the Super Friends sub-line of DC Multiverse and a cloth cape was included to boot... It was just not ideal. I went to work on a spandex replacement right away. Once I put it on the figure, it was completely transformed. Now this is my default Batman figure.
