I have been working on 2 figures that are taking forever, so I took a break from them and cranked this guy out in a day. This guy was a delight to make because I didn't have to go out of my way to get any of the parts.I went around Phoenix, AZ about a month ago to used action figure stores and gathered a munch of cheap fodder figures. I intended to use the Tyrion figure to make Fili, but abandoned that idea in favor of Deaditor's recipe. So I used the part here. Head: Ned Stark Hair: Aragorn Body: Tyrion Upper arm: Tyrion Lower arm: Tyrion Hands: Tyrion Kilt: Jon Snow Thighs: Tyrion Shins: Donatella TMNT I slimmed the torso out with a nail file and then glued fringe from a Faramir character on the upper ans lower tunic. The under kilt also came from Faramir but the upper kilt came from Jon Snow. I added shoulder pads from Thorin and with an exacto-knife sliced Thorin's belt buckle off and glued it on sideways. The belt came from a Mad Hatter Batman figure. I used milliput on the forearms and and shins to sculpt the wrist protectors and top of the boots. The shins are from a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and originally looked like hiking boots. I didn't have to change the bottom of them, they even curled up at the toes! For the head, I used Ned Stark and sculpted a wider forehead, bigger nose, added cheeks and wrinkles with an oven bake Sculpty. Then baked it. Then I added the ears. Then baked it. Then I sculpted the top of the hair, baked it. After that, I glues Aragorn's hair to the back of the figure. Then I glued fodder to the face. I shaved several braids off of a Jack Sparrow figure and glued them on. Then I used milliput to blend the beard, add eyebrows, and make the braids on the top of the head. Then painted it. The head actually only took an hour, even with the breaks to bake the play. ![]() |

No body other than my family knows I have this hobby. Ha ha I am a 26 year old girl who goes to toy stores looking for 2 dollar figures and stays there for hours just staring at stuff, imagining and planning.
When I decided to do this project, I planned out most of my figures in advance. For three weeks before I started, I Googled what other people did, and searched for figures to use. I gathered all the parts and knew what specific piece I would use for each fodder figure, to make the characters.
Not everything has worked out like I though, but for the most part they have.
I would advise you use miliput black instead of sculpy as it saves you from having to use an oven and risk anything. Works just as good as sculpy is stronger and easy to use. Glenn Webb the customiser who left us too soon used miliput and swore by it, but yeah it really is better than sculpy and you can buy in bulk on ebay!
