After seeing other spandex heroes get updated, I thought Moon Knight would look good armored up. There's a running gag in my universe that any time someone needs an upgrade they just steal Captain America's clothes. He wears detailed gear, but it's generic enough to be converted into anything else with a quick repaint lol. •Used a Cap body and a Sentry cape. Cut a Skeletor hood in half, used the bottom half to make the removable neck scarf thing and the top half as a base to sculpt the hood. Modified a LEGO piece and glued it into the back of the harness to attach the cape; it's also removable and rests flush with the floor when standing. Sprayed with VHT so there's almost zero paintrub at the joints. Detailed with Formula P3 paints. *As always, sorry for the bad pics ![]() |

It doesn't rub off because it's dye, but you have to thoroughly prep the plastic surface by scrubbing it and lightly sanding it with fine grit if possible, to let the dye soak in as much as possible. Using it feels like using any spray paint.
However, if I absolutely have to color the hard disc in a joint, I disassemble the joint and modify it so parts don't rub.
We have a bunch of tutorials here on the site to help you. "Shoulder Joint Protection" and "Eliminate Paint Rub" are very useful.
Regarding enamel, I don't know what to believe. People on here say they use enamel with no problems and others say it makes their figures sticky. I use acrylic because it dries faster and I've never had issues with it.
Muff Knight
lol
I like the capeless tactical ninja look for this figure more though, he looks more GI Joe than superhero.
