Greetings all. I was thinking how I wish Hasbro would include variant heads with all the Marvel figures they make as they have been doing it on a few such as Punisher, Dark Phoenix & Nuke for example. So I was looking for a way to make an alternate DD head & I was looking at all the extra heads in my fodder box when I came upon the modern Boomerang head with the gritted teeth & thought to myself that would work with the extra DD head I had in my fodder box. So this is the 1st time I have ever attempted head splicing surgery so I was a bit nervous I would totally botch this up & lose 2 good Marvel legends heads in the process. Well after nuking a bowl of water in the microwave for 2-3 minutes, I dumped both heads in for like 1 minute to make them extra soft for my exacto blade. I cut both heads in half where I needed them to be. I then sliced off a bit more from both heads to get them to be as flush with each other as possible. Once I was satisfied that the upper/lower halves matched, I used some superglue to put em together & let it dry overnight. Next day I started painted the flesh tones & the red on the lower part of Boomerang's face to match the upper half of DD's face. I think it came out pretty decent & now I have 2 alternate heads for DD to use in my fight scenes, but I'll let the rest of you critique & leave your comments on how it came out. Thanks for looking.
