I had an idea about a year ago. What if Toybiz or Hasbro through buying them had the rights to the Hobit figures? And what if instead of releasing a pitiful amount of figures they did what they did back in the early 2000s and released wave by wave and sets? Wel a great set to buy is the Kings of Middle Earth set and I thought to myself I wonder what counter parts would be suitable figures from the Hobbit films. So now that you've seen Thorin in his armour and my several other customs this is what it's been leading to. Thror and Elendil being kings of Old, Thorin and Aragorn being the new Kings interestingly both hold the title 2 because it's Thorin II Oakenshield and Aragorn II Elessar. Witch king and Khamul the black easterlin who we do see in spectral form at Dol Guldor and is the second in command of the Nazgul. King of the dead and Thranduil are both ancient kings who refused to fight when both Gondor and Erebors need was dire, until eventually they agree and come to the aid of our heros. Dain and Theoden are both great warriors and riders and then Bard and Isildur which maybe Gillian would have been a better pairing but Bard becomes king of Dale not just Lord like his ancestor. These guys are all kings at some point that is the point. So what do you all think? Toybiz did such a phenomenal job With only Hasbro/Kenner also doing a good job with marvel and Star Wars releasing hundreds of characters, this could have been a great gift set, imagine all of the company of Thorin Oakenshield as a set lols. It was planned in 3.75 scale. Please wait... |
