Hi, Guys !

You can spot a few orcs in the Lord of the rings-movies, which have quite freaky skin colors (even a flashy black/red-pattern a la Darth Maul)

I wanted to vary, from the favored used green-/yellow-shades most ToyBiz-orc-figures have, but stay in the range of colors, which appear in the movies, actually. Since the "black orc of Mordor"-figure by WETA (picture Nr.:7) is blue too, it seemed to be legitimate to go "smurfy" on this one.

Anyways... this is Nârgh, the orc archer. One of Gothmog's liegemen, who'd put an fatal end to the horsemen of Minas Tirith, on their suicide mission, towards Osgiliath.

All original archer-figures from Toybiz hold the bow with the right hand...I wanted to have a left hand-shooter, since the bad guys stand on the right side of my 1,80x1,80m-diorama.

Base-figure : ToyBiz LOTR Haradrim with an Eomer Head.
Helmet, face, shirt, sleeves, trousers, shoes, buckle, bow and quiver are sculpted.
Front and back-armor made of rubber and sculpy. Hemp as hair.
Chain mail is made of a fake-leather, called "techno-look"
Hip-/Thigh-Armor is recasted from a Gothmog-figure and filed down to size.
Fake leather and aluminum on the back of the hands.
Shin-and forearm-armor is made of plastic and sculpy.
Fake leather for straps and belt.

I dremeled off lots of material of the original shirt, forearm-sleeves, pattern of wristbands and hand-armor.

This was my first use of "pro create"-putty (helmet only). THANKS A LOT to Jesse Custer for this recommendation ! Using it was really challenging, since it is completely different and way more difficult to work with, than the "apoxy sculp", I've been used to. ...but it has many advantages, so I'll try to improve my skills in using it.

I've used colors from citadel and a 2-1-1-mixture of Rewell-colors (black; dark-brown and rust) for the rust-effect on armor.

Note: The armor-parts always look a lot more silver/shiny on the pictures (from other figures too), than they really are...I don't know why ...I don't use a flash...

I hope you like it ! Comments are always welcome !
Check out my other figures too !

CHEERS !
