This is a custom I made of the SDCC She-Ra doll to make her look closer to the Vintage She-Ra action figure. For her outfit I started off by making her a leotard using white lycra fabric. I then covered her upper body in plastic wrap to protect it as I sculpted her chest plate directly onto her body using a product called 'fixit sculpt'. The little center circles which frame the jewel came from a Barbie dress. Once the 'Fixit had set I painted the chest plate using white & gold Humbrol enamel paints. when the paint had dried I then superglued a small craft jewel in the center. I then put plastic wrap onto her upper body again & put her leotart over the top of it. At this point I superglued the chest plate directly onto the leotard. The plastic wrap prevented the glue going directly onto her body through the leotard. Next up was her cape. I found 2 different types of fabric online, one was a red iridescent silk fabric & the other was an iridescent organza. I cut out both fabrics into equal sized rectangles. It would have been too difficult to hem the organza so to prevent it fraying I applied clear nail varnish along the cut edges of the fabric. I then gathered one of the long ends of the rectangle into small pleats with a needle & thread. this would make the neck of the cape. For the white collar of the cape I made 2 small fan shapes from a very thin white net curtain fabric & then hand stitched them to the neck of the cape. to finish it I got some gold elastic & stitched it to each side of the collar so it would fit under her arms to keep the cape in place (the same way the vintage figures cape works) for her skirt I got a vintage She-Ra figures skirt & put in into my scanner. I then enlarged the image & printed it out. this would make the pattern for the belt section of my SDCC She-Ra belt.

SDCC She-Ra (Vintage POP style)
This is a SDCC She-Ra I did some custom work to so as she would look more like the original vintage She-Ra figure from the 80's.
