For a while, I've wanted to fix up a Grodd figure. But, I never could work out the body. So, when I got asked to make Solovar, I was initially stumped. After some discussion, I was directed to the Infinite Heroes line. Grodd is quite the pricey base. Isn't it weird when you can remember seeing a figure/pack overstocked in the stores and now it's really rare and expensive? The Public Enemies pack with Grodd and the Sabretooth/Wolverine two pack are the ones that immediately come to mind. So, I used a cape from Mysterio with the helmet cut off. Repainted it and glued it in place. Had to glue it at the top and the bottom so it wouldn't stick out too much. Added hair to the side of his head, then extended the top of the cape a bit. Added the collar portion in the front and the raised collar in the back. Full repaint, and all done!
