With Alien covenant coming out soon I wanted to do another alien center project. So I picked up the neca toys cinemachines derelict ship and did a full repaint on it. I then wanted to make a base that resembled its crash site in the original alien film. So I got a wooden base and used super sculpy to sculpt the main base of the dio. I then used a mixture of super glue and baking soda to make more of the land scape and it also gave it a gritty look to it. I wanted to capture the look of LV426 as closely as I could get it. I then painted the entire thing and made a back drop making a landscape painting mid way up to the original movie poster logo. Finally I scupted tiny figures of Dallas, kane, and Lambert. I painted them the colors of their space suits and attached the tiny pieces to the base. The Derelict can be unpegged from the base and attached to its clear flying base it came with too.
