So after the finale to Rebels this year, and finding a Black Series Krennic cheap, I decided I wanted a Thrawn for my collection. Sure, I figured chances were good Hasbro would eventually make him, but I figured with 40th Anniversary figures and The Last Jedi figures due out in the fall, that it probably wouldn't be until next year or later that they got to Thrawn. So I took a DCUC Spectre head that I thought had a nice nose and cheek structure for an animated version of Thrawn and began reconstructing it. After about a week if efforts I thought I lost the initial look of the head in too much sculpting, and that it had become too large for the Krennic body, so I started over with a second Spectre head. I worked on that for a couple nights and then last weekend Hasbro unveiled their Thrawn that would be available as early as SDCC. D'oh. But I'd invested enough time already that I decided to finish him anyway. So that's basically it. Krennic body and resculpted Spectre head. Nothing too complicated, and I worry the head might be slightly too large, but I think it captures the elongated head Thrawn has on Rebels rather well. Thanks for looking! ![]() |
