For this contest, I decided to give a particularly vengeful former sidekick the gender-swap or 'Rule 63' treatment. Here's a female Red Hood (Jane Todd), who's made from a DC Multiverse Suicide Squad Katana base. Cut off the belt and sash, and used a piece of craft pleather to create a new belt. Took both the masked and unmasked heads from Captain Marvel, adding some sculpt. Dremelled off the bandage top and sculpted a tank top with the Bat symbol on it. Dremelled off the laces and sculpted on the pads on the boots. Folded pieces of cut styrene to form the holsters. Thanks for voting!
Jedd congratulations my friend! You won gold with an original concept Batman Universe character. After all your great Batman and Robin customs and your many contest entries, it's so awesome that you now have won the Sidekicks No More contest.
Thanks Edgy! I find the WIP progression photos are a good way of explaining the customisation process to my friends who aren't familiar with the hobby.
Congrats on your first one Jedd. Your dedication and passion you shown over the years for the craft and always being a part of these contests, finally got you the big one. Enjoy!
