Author Robert E. Howard may be best known for creating Conan the Barbarian, but before Conan, he actually wrote stories about a different world of "sword and sorcery" that featured a somber hero with a pale face and cold eyes.

In the 16th century, a devout Puritan named Solomon Kane wanders the world to vanquish all evil. He truly believes that it is his God-given purpose on Earth. To him, all dark magic is of devious origin that he must fight by all means.

He has no superpowers but is a grandmaster swordsman. When he is in a state of rage, he can battle supernatural creatures with extreme efficiency. Throughout his travels, he has fought against pirates, slave traders, evil sorcerers, a legion of vampires, and many other forms of evil.
