I took a return of marvel legends Ghost Rider and removed the tails. Dry brushed silver over armor. Removed shoulder flames and painted over blue with silver. Added unmasked winter soldier head. Weapon is from Jack O Lantern. Fireball from Marvel Girl. Symbols on armor are a mixture of runic and kryptonian characters. Symbols on scythe are runic characters done with fine tip sharpie. Caulder Zane is a warrior witch that has been empowered by a powerful devil to fight light beings. Caulder grew up in the Eastern Territory. His parents were farmers and he was the 5th of 7 children and the 4th boy. He grew up simply learning the skills a farmer needs to run a farm. By the time Caulder was 13 his father believed that with his 2 oldest boys almost of age to take over the farm, that it was time for Caulder to start finding his own way in the world. His next oldest brother having left the year before, Caulder was given the oldest horse, some money, a few days worth of food, and a small scythe for protection on the road. Caulder made the 3 day ride to the city of Brador without incident. Caulder figured with the skills he learned on the farm that he would be able to apprentice himself to one of the craftsmen in town. After about 5 days in town he still had no luck finding a job. He was almost out of money even after selling the horse. He then came across a recruiter for the Eastern Territory Militia. Although Caulder was not of fighting age yet, the military still had use of talented youngsters as pages, runners, and even apprentices to the military tradesman. Caulder never thought of himself as a military man, but the thought of 3 meals a day and free lodging seemed too good to be true, so he signed up. Caulder did well in the military. He was initially apprenticed to a blacksmith making armor and weapons, but a few months into his apprenticeship the blacksmith was thrown from his horse and died. The new blacksmith that was brought in had 2 sons around Caulders age that he was grooming to take over for him so he had no use for a 3rd apprentice. Caulder was then moved to be the assistant to Captain McBain. McBain was a tough but fair captain and treated Caulder well. As Caulder grew and trained he became a very proficient fighter. He had the respect of his peers, and the trust of his superiors. Around the time Caulder was 20, his division was called to help with some villages that were being raided on the border of the Eastern Territory and the Old Kingdom. They thought they would be fighting mercenaries and brigands, but what was reported as mercenary raiders were actually Western Empire Legions in unmarked armor. Many in Caulders division were killed, but Caulder and a few others were captured. They were taken to a city in the Old Kingdom where they were sold to slavers and auctioned off. Caulder was bought by a cruel Wolfen named Guhl'rahk. Guhl'rahk bought slaves to fight in the gladiator pits of the Old Kingdom and the Western Empire. He showed his slaves nothing but contempt and would brutalize them regularly. Their only motivation for winning in the arena was that it usually bought them a couple days of relative peace while Guhl'rahk celebrated his victory. Caulder having never know this level of abuse started to become less caring for his fellow slaves and only worried about himself. He began to take savage delight in besting opponents in the arena. His weapon of choice being the scythe. He became a fan favorite and was give the name Reaper. After a couple years Caulder has become so enamored with the bloodshed that he looks forward to his battles in the arena just so he had the opportunity to kill again. Guhl'rahk acquires a slave that takes an interest in Caulder. A dwarven woman named Scanti begins to befriend him. She seems to delight in his kills as much as he does. She asks him if he would be interested in escape. He of course says that he is. She tells him that her employer is interested in his abilities and that if he is willing to meet with her employer she will free him. Caulder agrees and Scanti waits until late into the night to come to Caulders release. When Caulder realizes he is really going to escape he strangles his cell mate so he doesn't raise any sort of alarm. Scanti says she slipped Guhl'rahk a sleeping potion so they should be able to escape easily. Caulder retrieves his scythe from the weapons room. He sneaks into the house and eviscerates Guhl'rahk in his sleep. He then torches the house allowing it all to burn including all the slaves in the cells below the house. Caulder and Scanti ride for more that a week until the get to The Land of the South Winds. It is there that Caulder finds out that Scanti is part of a coven of witches in service to a powerful devil named Rabdos the Strangler. Scanti explains that they were tasked by Rabdos to find a powerful warrior that may serve Rabdos and help her defeat an enemy that has been a thorn in her side for too long. Caulder says that he will meet Rabdos and hear what she has to offer. Scanti and her fellow witches notify Rabdos that they have found her champion. Rabdos appears as a human woman in her mid to late 20's. She has pale unblemished skin with dark eyes, black lips, and heavy black eye make up. She has jet black long wavy hair, wearing tight black leather boots, pants and corset. She has a beautifully curvy figure, and gives off a strong vibe of lust and sexuality. She sizes Caulder up. She notices the scythe at his hip, and gives an almost girlish squeal of delight. Rabdos explains that for the last few years there has been an elven witch hunter abroad in the land and that he has disrupted he plans many times, and that by either luck, skill, or divine intervention he keeps thwarting her. She has sent witches, necromancers, and creatures after him and all have perished. She even confronted him herself once. She believed she had dealt him a deathblow, but he still continues killing off her witches. This elfs name is Dimitri and he wields a powerful rune sword imbued with holy magic, he also seems to have a number of spells up his sleeve as well as some other magical items. Caulder is intrigues at the idea of this new opponent, and asks her what is in it for him. She explains that she will outfit him with armor and weapons that he could only dream about and that should he manage to kill Dimitri he will be rewarded as her consort for eternity. Caulder agrees and the seal the deal with a kiss. Rabdos takes Caulder to a sealed room in the basement of the keep and inside is the most beautiful set of armor he has ever seen, as well as a blood red scythe with strange markings on it. Rabdos explains that she had the armor and scythe made centuries before when the dwarven runesmiths were at their peak. Rune magic has since been lost so no new rune weapons are ever made. She explains that both items are sentient, indestructible and will only bond with him if they want to. If they do not want to he will die. He agrees to try and touches the scythe first. He hears a voice inside his head a deep raspy male voice that says "finally a meatbag worth wielding me." The scythes name is Blasphemy. It has the powers to Summon Shadwbeasts, summon minor demons, a power called Unholy division that does more damage to good aligned beings and less damage to evil aligned beings. The only catch to using these abilities is that Blasphemy can only cast one spell for every soul it consumes. There is no limit to the amount of souls it can store, but it requires a being to die to fuel its power. He then dons the armor and hears a coldly superior androgynous voice in his head that says "You'll do quite nicely." The armors calls itself "The Resistence," It gives its wearer resistance to cold, flame, sleep, paralysis, electricity, and vacuum. As long as the being boded to the armor wears it once per day they will not age and will be immune to all forms of disease. If they go more than 5 days without wearing they will age to their natural age. Caulder learns many witchcraft related spells and abilities and even begins dabbles in necromancy. Will he defeat Dimitri? Time will tell ![]() |
