Feeling a little nostalgic, and while watching an episode of the TV Series Superboy/Adventures of Superboy called "Mindscape", I decided to create a figure of wrestler Lex Luger as the "New" Superboy. In the episode, Superboy is infected with a gelatinous organism from outer space that places him in a coma and causes him to have horrifying nightmares. In one of these nightmares, Superboy is exposed as a robot, and a "New" Superboy, played by Luger, comes to battle him and take his place since the Boy of Steel is now irreparably damaged.

To do this figure, I took an extra DC Direct Superman/Doomsday boxset Superman and used the boil and pop method to remove the head. Next, I used my Dremel to remove the upper ball portion of the Superman's neck peg, leaving a cylindrical post. I gave the neck area and hands a full repaint in a homemade flesh tone that would match that of the head I had chosen, which came from a Mattel WWE Lex Luger figure. When the paint had fully dried, I gave the neck and hands two generous coats of Flat Clear. As soon as the Flat Clear had fully dried, I used a large dab of Testors Modeling Cement to glue the head in place atop the neck, and TA-DA... Lex Luger as he appeared on the TV Series Superboy/Adventures of Superboy as the "New" Superboy!!!!
