If there was a figure that desperately needed upgrading from the abomination we got almost 10 years ago - this is it.

I would actually have preferred him on the new Sunfire body, as I think it suits this character more. But a bit too expensive right now, and also the red/black Giant Man from the Hulkbuster wave has pretty much the right colour scheme already.

I gave him a paint job from head to toe, just to make sure the red was more of a scarlet/blood red, and the black hands and boots needed touching up. The spider logo took a couple days to get right, but got there in the end. The spikes on the feet are just wooden cocktail sticks stuck into the boot tips, smoothed off and painted black.

The head was a curious decision and are 2 halves of heads from different figures. The lower half/jaw is from the Hasbro 2 pack Forge figure with the gritted teeth and mustache, and the upper half is from the white Iron Fist. They worked PERFECTLY together and captures his look from the comics very well.
