A Japanese superhero with a supernatural twist created in 1972 by Go Nagai.

Story: Gentle and kindhearted Akira Fudo has been living with family friends since his parents' mysterious death during an archeological dig in Antarctica. Akira is the kind of boy that stands up to bullies to protect the weak, no matter how much trouble or pain it causes him. One day, an old childhood friend named Ryo Asuka asks for help. Seeing how adamant Ryo was about needing his help Akira reluctantly went to accomplish this mysterious favor. During a mass dance rave party held at Ryo's house that housed many demonic artifacts and elements that haunted the house and caused Ryo's father to kill himself. A bloodbath ensued that allowed the demons to possess the partygoers as the strong became demons and the weak became blood offering to those demons. Akira and Ryo were the last humans still alive and as the horde of demons advanced forward, Akira's strong wishes to on wanting to stay alive were answered by an unknown voice that granted him superior strength and powers which he used to kill every demon at the party. In an explanation by Ryo, demons had now awoke on the human plain and to combat them a pure hearted soul would attract the most powerful of demons and if the person whose soul captured such a demon and can use it's power for good then humanity might stand a chance against this revival of demons. Because it takes a demon to fight a demon and with that Devilman was born. Devilman has had many looks over the years, but this figure is based of the 1987 Devilman OVA series.

This figure was made from a Sota Street Fighter Ryu torso, Marvel Legends 2015 Giant man lower torso & legs, Marvel Legends series 8 Weapon X arms, Marvel Legends Face off Sabertooth hands & feet, Xebec Devilman head, and some fodder parts. Mass sculpting on lower half, updated ankle pivot for feet, removable bendy tail, and removable wings with revoltech joints.
