Head & body- Hot Toys RE6 Leon Kennedy. Hair & eyebrows were painted with acrylics a mix of silver and white. A headpiece had to be removed from the left side which left a gap over the ear. I glued a 'nosferatu fang' of drawing paper which I then coated with plastic putty using a small brush to provide hair grove texture. Once dried,I applied a layer of Loctite Super glue gel to give the area a more plastic appearance and to further bond with surrounding area. Hands- custom Blade 2 gloved hands modelled after Hot Toys' released figure. Boots- Hot Toys Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Trousers- AC Play The Leader set. I painted the trousers with a mixture of crimson acrylic and enamel paints which stiffened the fabric and provided a leather-like appearance. Coat- Hot Toys Star-Lord.Very little needed to be done here. Removed the left shoulder guards as well as plastic rectangles at the hem of the coat. Painted some details brown and glued a small scabbard on the back to support the sword. Waistcoat- Hot Toys Sweeney Todd. This I painted with crimson acrylic and enamel paint added black belt straps across the torso with square and round buckle details. Holsters- Hot Toys Deadpool. These were glued to the thighs with a second strap added to each to keep them in place. Dual Pistols- Hot Toys Robocop plastic pistols from the Battle Damaged set. The plastic accepts paint more readily than diecast. One pistol was painted with silver acrylic for 'Ivory' and its twin was painted with gunmetal grey (mixed a little white with this) acrylic paint. Additionally a friend printed off some tiny decals for the pistols' handles depicting the oval portraits- the images for which were photographed from the 'Devil May Cry Graphic Arts' book. Sword- DID (I think) Onimusha pronged sword. The pronged blades were easy to glue together though they did leave a split in the blade near the hilt. For the hilt and guard, I had to saw off the handle's guard features replace them with two plastic prongs. I then wrapped the handle and prongs in a waxed thread to give it a more unnaturally organic look and glued two small skull buttons on either side. I then smothered the entire handle up to the hilt and guard with Loctite glue gel to cement the features together. All was concluded once I painted the entire sword with silver acrylic. ![]() |
