I felt that his sword from the film was a bit too ornate and didn't go well with the rest of his attire. Plus it was very bendy and didn't look so good whenever he was holding it. It was several months ago I found on the shelves of my local Toys R US a bunch of 3.75 inch Game of Thrones action figures made by Funko. One of them just happened to be Jon Snow who came with his longsword, Longclaw as an accessory. This sword in my opinion looks far better on this knight than it did on Jon. Its colour matched his armor and it doesn't bend at all. Plus its blade is thicker than the knight's original one. Also even though the sheath on his bend is only for show, it does give the illusion that it was made for this particular sword.

Once I got him a better looking sword, I felt he needed a helmet to complete the ensemble and make him look truly badass. Before he only had a chain mail hood like knights of that period would have worn as he did in the movie. But I felt if he was to look even more imposing and like an actual medieval knight going into battle, he needed a helmet.

It wasn't easy finding a helmet suited for him. There weren't many other action figures that of the 3.75 size from a medieval genre, at least not with removable helmets. It took me a while and almost drove me nuts but eventually I stumbled upon the perfect candidate. It was a 3.75 inch King Arthur Pendragon from the BBC Adventures of Merlin series. I was a big fan of the show while it had aired and didn't even realize they had released their own set of action figures. So I ordered it on Ebay and actually came in a set with many other characters from the show and that set me back $100 plus shipping but it was worth it.

A friend of mine lent me his own Grail Knight so that I can take this picture and show how he looks now with his helmet on. Initially he looked pretty decent thought the lacking of head protection did bother me (of course he's based off the character from the film like all the other Indiana Jones action figures which is something we can't do anything about). But with the helmet and the a new longsword, I feel he looks good enough. It was a bit of a nightmare putting the helmet on. It fit perfectly over his head, but the cape kinda got in the way. I had to use my fingers to stretch out the opening of the cape just enough to then squeeze the knight while wearing the helmet through. Now it fits him snugly.

Jon & Arthur: "No biggie, just give us some of that Holy Grail water and we'll call it even"
