Hello, guys. How are you? This is what happens when you play too much Skyrim and have an old predator around. It's based on the iron and hide armor of the game, and I wanted to give it a "dragon hunter" look (that's why the oversized battle axe) Most of the armor is sculpted, but since I wanted to retain poseability, cloth was used for the waist and cape, and fake leather for the belt and sword scabbard(both of them are removable). Had to replace the elbows since the originals only had little more than 45 degrees, so I put some Figma discjoints for 90 degrees of movement. Fixed as best I could the loose leg joints old predator models are known for, although the figure's still a bit too heavy and if you don't pose it right it tends to fall on its mouth (which the figure always did since I bought it... )The weapons are made of cd's, handles of wood, and the pomels of both sword and axe can be detached to slide them in the hands, then put back. I'm still not sure about the cape, I tried 3 different models and finally decided to keep that one. Personally, I really like it, it's my first finished custom (not counting re-paints) so there's room for a lot of improvement, and I'm hoping I can sell it, maybe. Also, sorry about the photos, only had one lamp to help me and it's been a while since I practiced photography. Hope you like it. A lot of trial and error went into this one... mostly done during weekends (it took its sweet time), so the time in the description is not accurate. Actually I forgot how many hours it took. Please wait... |
