The year is 2109. The Earth has become a hellish global hive for the deadly xenomorphs as a result of Weyland-Yutani's foolish experimentation on the creatures. The company moved to an underground facility, hoping to clone the only human known to have faced the creature and live: Ellen Ripley.

After creating a successful clone, the company gave her a sophisticated xenomorph suit designed to infiltrate a hive unnoticed. She was given specific instructions to enter a hive, tranquilize a queen, and collect the special "Royal Jelly". The company planned to use this substance to synthesize a pheromone to lure out the Matriarch, the alpha queen of the lesser queens and the absolute leader of the Earth hive. Weyland-Yutani theorized that with the destruction of the Matriarch, the Earth hive would fall into disarray, leading to an easier extermination of the aliens and hopefully the reclamation of Earth.

This story was is partially inspired by a few Dark Horse Aliens comics in which the Alien does get brought back to Earth, subsequently escapes, and leads to the apocalyptic "Earth Hive" scenario. Also by the events in "Alien Resurrection", obviously.

I made the custom with a NECA xenomorph warrior, a bunch of fodder, and surgically precise drilling, painting, sculpting, and cutting, (thank goodness for tiny drill dremel bits!). Unfortunately most of the work I put into this figure is in a space less than 2 centimeters across, so it's hard to actually see it without a magnifying glass.
