Starting 2017 off with a big one, here's the living embodiment of the universe itself, Eternity. Probably my largest custom to date and my most ambitious, taking the title from my Holocaust/Genocide custom.

He was made using an 18 inch Spider-man figure that was broken at the waist, so I had no issue in using the figure as a base. I sanded the entire body down and resculpted the musculature to create a smooth surface. His face was sculpted from scratch, using the original Spider-man head as the base. Took a lot of trial and error to get the right expression, but I'm happy with the final result. Not too generic but not too pouty.

His cape was made from fabric with wire along the edges to make for posing, and his head piece was cut from a sheet of styrene. Afterwards he was completely repainted with an airbrush using a mixture of whites, blues and purples. The look I was trying to capture was more of a nebula effect rather than an entire solar system with planets and various colours. Even though that would've looked awesome, I wanted to create a more consistent and complimentary colour palette, and I didn't wanna be too ambitious with the skill I'm at now. I may have gone overboard with the blues but I feel theres enough contrast there to distinguish the colours enough from one another so I'm happy.

Overall this guy was a lot of fun to make, I had a lot of freedom to do what I wanted with the colour scheme since I was basically working on a blank canvas.
