Townspeople for my Western Diorama in 1/6th scale. With much help from my Sweetie sewing. Storekeeper is General Omar Bradley in GI clothes and boots, Rev War shirt, handmade apron, and cut-down glasses: I cut out the top of the frame and squashed them tighter. He goes in the General Store, not finished yet. Nurse is a GI Jane Vietnam Nurse in a Barbie Civil War Nurse outfit with some other nurse stuff such as hose and shoes, and a big satchel for toting to baby deliveries. Swedish Mail Order Bride is a bony Angelina Jolie minus ponytail, wearing Barbie Swedish National Costume, a resewn Jonah Hex coat/cape, some fodder clothes, and toting a carpet bag made from material wrapped around Nurse Barbie's medical bag. The Bride has a tag pinned to her cape giving her destination (she speaks no English), but waits on the train platform for her lonesome Cowboy Beau (to be made) to fetch her. Have to thank the Sweetie again for the ideas. When I first conceived the Western diorama, it would be all cowboys and Indians. She asked, "Why not regular townspeople for variety?" Wife was, as always, right.
