So I Really loved Spiral in the 90's cartoon. Though she wasn't featured much, she left an amazing impression. When researching her back story , I was fascinated at Spirals powers which can only be activated thru dance. Spiral is a master swordsman and ninja, as well as telepath with mystical powers and teleportation of physical form and portals. I definitely wanted to give that feel. I let my imagination run wild with this one. I wanted her to feel like an ancient Egyptian statue brought to life, and I also thought of the Indian hindu God Shiva. I wanted her to feel ancient. I used Marvel Legends Maidens Of Might Ms Marvel for her head and lower body. A 2008 Marvel legends Spiral for her upper body. As well as her helmet and weapons minus her axe and one of her swords. The challenge of this figure was in fact her torso including her chest, which I had to figure out how to connect to the Ms Marvel lower body. I pretty much had to re sculpt/created from scratch using Ave's apoxie sculpt. I sculpted her hair from scratch as well, which I usually do to all my customs using procreate. I like my hair sculpt to give a feel of movement. Being that this is the dancing ninja.. hair movement was a must. Next was the boots, which I decided to give a realism to so I added real fur. I added gold wiring to her arms and created a really cool glove as well for jewelry. Then I gave the figure Spirals classic paint job with a little bit of a dark feel to make her appear deadly but still beautiful!!!! Most of the painst were metallic and pearl base. He skin was brushed lightly with an Inca Gold to give the ancient Goddess feel. ENJOY!!!!
