This was a commission that I very much enjoyed. Van Helsing, as a movie, was practically crawling with cheese, but I still enjoyed it for what it was. I really liked his look and was happy to customize it. The base was a marvel universe spidey noir. I sculpted the vest and turtleneck on the torso, cut and sanded down the pockets on the pants and sculpted the empty space to fit the texture of the rest of the pants. Sculpted the straps around one of the boots, and sculpted the removable hat from scratch using green stuff. Also sculpted the cuffs on the sleeves. I used two wolverine heads from the movie line. Sculpted hair on both, but one a little thinner on top to accommodate the hat. I also made a removable mask. I made the hair a little shorter on the other head, to make it a little more posable. The coat came from a hellboy 3.75, and I used green stuff, again, to make the buckles and straps, along with some extra on the sleeves. The crossbow was made with a few fodder weapons, with some sculpting to blend. Also added a removable fabric scarf. This was a fun project. I had to improvise a bit to pull it all together, and I was happy with how it turned out, as was my client, which is the most important part. Thanks folks. ![]() |
