I'll be honest, I don't really know much about Victor Zsasz. Most of my exposure to him stems from his annoying incessant phone calls in Arkham City. I was never that into Batman's solo books prior to Scott Snyder's run. Sure, I picked up a tie-in book here or there, or if a certain villain appeared, but Zsasz was never on that list.

So sometimes you make a custom because it's a figure you always wanted, while other times you buy a Multiverse Suicide Squad Joker on the cheap just for the Killer Croc piece are left wondering what to do with a barefoot Joker. Enter Zsasz. I did him mostly as a side project while working on other projects, something to fiddle around with while waiting for the paint to dry or the mold to set.

Zsasz was made mostly from that SS Joker figure. I did switch out his jacketed arms for a pair of Avatar Mils Quaritch arms, but besides that he's just Joker with some modified hair. I decided to make his slashes with a rose colored Micron pen. Black looked too much like he Sharpie'd them on, while red looked too bright, so I thought the rose color atop the flesh tone paints gave the slashes an inflamed/scarred kind of look. At least I liked to think so.

And thus, Zsasz was born. Not someone I ever obsessed about making, but sometimes you just want to try out a new buck, y'know, see if maybe you can fancy it up with a little pizsasz(sp?).
