This custom is based off the original design used for the witch King in the return of the King. There are photos and clips showing this design and in fact the return of the King video game has this model of the character featured, however the design wasn't distinct enough from sauron's appearance in the prologue, so they redesigned the character with a hollow mouthed helmet with a crown of thorns motif which we see in the film. I took a witch King figure and stripped off the robe parts and sanded down the torso. Then I placed an inverted King Aragorn cuirass over him and re added the robe but cut a bit to look more like a cloak as well as the lower robes but cut shorter and the sheath and belt moved around a bit. The mace was just the original flail removed chain and removed middle portion of the spiked ball and made it into the mace. The head is just an Aragorn head with a the helmet glued over. The helmet is all made by me out of layer by layer plastic sheet, rolled into a circlet then I added piece by piece different interlocking parts and plates and the spikes of course and then some sculpting was applied with miliput.
