In the memory of Glenn Webb- fellow customizer, action figure & comic book enthusiast, You Tube reviewer, and many others out in the world so much more. I never personally met Glenn, but it seemed we had a lot in common. We were both born in 1976, we both loved X-men comics, and collected most of the same figures. It was very comforting & humbling to know that even a whole ocean away there was someone who found the same things as me interesting. I first took an interest in Glenn, years ago on this very site as his customs were original and a sight to behold. You could always know a Webb Marvel Legend custom from a far as he loved his paint washes and dry brushing especially in the face area and in doing so he breathed life into each plastic visage he painted. The thing I admired most about Glenn's customs was his fortitude and dedication. When he chose a team or group he stuck with it until they were done, I mean look at his past custom of Marvel Legend groups, Z-listers like the Serpent Society and the Morlocks (that is hardcore X-men love, right there!)and everyone of them seemed to be worked on with a keen eye to make sure every detail was noticeable turning a Z-class character into a class-A custom. I didn't jump on the You Tube bandwagon right away, but when I did I started to watch action figure reviews and I was watching Glenn Webb videos without putting 2 and 2 together until he showed one of his customs and it all clicked. Even without that connection, Glenn's videos were great and his segments were very entertaining (evolution series, blind bag bonanza, loot box openings, wrestling news updates). He supposedly was not being sponsored and paying for all his own figures, if something was trash he spoke loud and proud about it to make the video watchers aware of toys that may not be all they are cracked up to be. Like most of us, he had a toy budget and couldn't afford the higher end stuff the majority of the time, but when he did get a high end piece his likable personality made you happy for him, it was like seeing a kid on Christmas morning and he wanted to share the experience with his viewers. His most interesting video segments to me was his shopping trips as I am not a world traveler I might never get to shop the streets of England, but Glenn made it feel like the viewer was right there with him. He strapped that camera on him and seemed to care less of what the people and store employees around him thought as long as his adventure was documented for his viewers. Glenn and customizer extraordinaire Craig Warrack also had a pod cast for a little while (26 episodes). It was great, to bad it didn't take off for them. It was cool hearing to guys talking action figures, new & past movies, toots & boots for Marvel Legends figures, their top comic storylines, and hearing tales of their pasts. You never know a person until you hear their secrets on their podcast. Like most of the community, I also was saddened by the loss of Glenn Webb, I couldn't believe it as in his videos he looked healthy, but I guess no matter the person healthy or not the reaper will come for us all. Passing away peacefully in his sleep is at least a small consideration, but it is still very sad, with comic books dominating movies, television, and the action figure aisle it should have been the time of Webb and now it is up to us to remember Glenn, every time we see a bad comic book movie that could have been good, every time a good comic book TV show is cancelled for no reason, every time Marvel screws the X-men in the 616 comic universe, and every time a Marvel Legends figure is painted with durpy eyes. Sadly, this is not a comic book universe where the good guys can rise from the ashes like a phoenix, as Glenn most certainly deserved it. Still Glenn Webb may your eternal sleep bring you the peace and happiness you deserve. Thanks for the memories....MMMMMMMM BYE!!!! ![]() |

And I'd tell Scarlet Witch she's playing that harp wrong, but if I remember right, she's crazy and can manipulate reality
