A year ago I found this mini in a bag of junk, and finally got around to painting it. Hey, that's better than the 5-7 year old WIPs I've been submitting lately! The mini was molded in a solid beige color, it has lots of sculpted details. After painting it the details mostly disappeared...oops! I think it just needs a darker wash to make the details pop, but I like the "factory fresh" look this armor has. Only carefully drybrushed the shotgun with Pig Iron so it looks like the black paint is wearing off. At this scale you have to do everything carefully, I almost slipped into an existential/absurdist daze concentrating so hard to not mess up the tiny specks required for the pouches' metal buttons. Also, photographing minis is hard! There's a certain distance where you can capture all the detail while not exposing every tiny flaw...and I'm still looking for it. The mini looks way better in person...trust me lel Thanks to StarRunn for helping identify what line the figure was from. ![]() |
