This is a commissioned figure for a customer of mine. He has wanted a replacement for his scrawny TB Face-off iron man for a while now. I hesitated taking this one on at first, as I wasn't quite sure how to do it. After thinking through it for a couple of weeks, finally came up with a recipe that I think works.

Base - Red Guardian
Knees - Winter Soldier
hands - movie Iron Man
Gauntlets - EE Drax

The rest of the body is just fodder and sculpt. For the Head, I started with a Gotg Iron Man and shaved off some plastic from the chin area. Then I glued the removable mask from the old Face-off figure and sculpted around it to make it look more seamless.

This is really nice. What yellow paint are you using by the way ? Looking to do a Luke Cage and an A.I.M. Scientist Supreme and I want a yellow paint that gives good coverage like on your Iron Man. Thanks.

Thanks LC! Unfortunately, a yellow that covers well does not exist. I probably needed about 10-15 thin coats of yellow over 3-4 painting sessions to get that coverage. That being said, I use Model Masters Chrome Yellow, which is the best I have found to date.

Formula P3 yellows cover well (most of their colors do actually), especially if you mist the area with some grey primer first. Check my Amazing Man or Baron Blitzkrieg.
