This figure was made from a ML Beast, ML Thor-buster Iron man lower body with legs and other figure odds & ends. This custom is based on the Marvel’s 90’s Age of Apocalypse character design of Beast or Dark Beast as he is seen in the Age of Apocalypse crossover. On Marvel Universe Earth-295 designated “the Age of Apocalypse” Charles Xavier died before forming the X-men and in his stead the X-men were formed by Magneto, not before the mutant Apocalypse practically conquered the Earth. In his reality Beast has become a servant of Apocalypse working under Sinister in the gene pens. A truly sadistic monster of his own design in both mind and body, Henry McCoy is not truly happy until he is dissecting or mutating fellow mutants to further his curiosities. Customizer side note: While making these most of these Age of Apocalypse customs I see that Marvel did not have a set character design for most of these characters as they changed from book to book. Dark Beast’s color scheme, furry back (spikes or hard hair), facial hair, and forearms (bone spikes ?) were changed in like every series he appeared in making it hard to capture the complete essence of the character so I opted for Steve Eptine’s design mixed with the Dark Beast as he appears in the main Marvel Universe.
