This figure was made from a ML Angel, ML Longshot legs, Wings of redemption Spawn’s wings and other figure odds & ends. This custom is based on the Marvel’s 90’s Age of Apocalypse character design of Angel as he is seen in the Age of Apocalypse crossover. On Marvel Universe Earth-295 designated “the Age of Apocalypse” Charles Xavier died before forming the X-men and in his stead the X-men were formed by Magneto, not before the mutant Apocalypse practically conquered the Earth. In this reality Angel has become a businessman with ties to both the rebels and the forces of Apocalypse. An grand opportunist in this war torn society, Angel sells information to whoever can afford it and with his cover as a nightclub owner literally covering his many dirty dealings. Warren Worthington truly cares for nothing or no one except his profits and himself. Customizer side note: While making these most of these Age of Apocalypse customs I see that Marvel did not have a set character design for most of these characters as they changed from book to book. Angel’s pants were in some books baggy sultan-like or loose fitting and were changed in like every series he appeared in making it hard to capture the complete essence of the character so I opted for Steve Eptine’s design on Factor X. I also kept the wings the original dirty color they were to contrast the totally white outfit...it would have been too much white and in a war torn enviroment who has time or water enough to wash his wings.
