Surprisingly easy actually. A $35 lumindesk LED electricity desk light, and a $10 acrylic globe from Amazon. Used my dremel to cut an opening into the globe, drilled a hole for the support stand and painted the inside matte clear and the outside clear blue. Used the circular opening to slide over the light and mounted it to the wall. Add 1 Magneto and power.

When it's running, the electric sparks in the background are great, but the inside of the dome reflects the light around in an unexpected and awesome way.
