Here's another concept Prometheus figure, this time what the creature known as the "Deacon" might look like as an adult alien! Seen briefly at the end of Prometheus, the Deacon is created from the trilobite impregnating an engineer. It's a curious little creature, having traits of the classic xenomorph, but differing slightly with the head. After finding some concept art of what it might look like as a mature alien, I had to make a custom!

As for the head, I first had to make a new neck by jury-rigging an engineer neck to part of an upper alien leg. The head is sculpted from scratch, then partially painted with silvery-blue to match the illustration, then I applied layers of clear epoxy to mimic the translucent dome most xenomorphs have.

Finally I tried to match the colors of the picture with 6 different shades of blue, with a silver wash.


This was one of my more complicated creations, as every single joint had to be dremeled out and modified to fit the new parts. But I'm pleased with the final result, and hopefully the artist who inspired me will see this one day.
