I've wanted to tackle Lion-O for quite some time, but I was always sort of intimidated by the hair. I've seen some amazing Lion-O hair sculpts and some not so much, so I didn't want to try it until I was sure I could do it justice. So, needless to say, that was my starting point. I used the same basic recipe many others have for the 3.75 scale lord kitty cat. All of the costume details are sculpted. Again, I used green stuff for its flexibility. The gauntlet came from a Lion-O hallmark ornament. I cut it down, straightened it out some and added a little sculpting. I made a mold and cast a second one to use for the version to hang off his hip. The short sword was from the hallmark ornament and the full size was from a new animated series 4 inches. I cut the blade off and added a metal blade, since it was a bit wonky. Thanks folks. ![]() |
