Condo Arlik comes from the planet Phlon. Yep. Phlon. You have to remember Jim Shooter was only 17 when he created good ol' Arlik so apparently Phlon was the best he could do for a name of a planet. As Chemical King he possessed the ability to expedite or even slow down chemical reactions. I guess young Mr. Shooter still had chemistry class fresh in his mind, though how useful a power this really was is debatable. I guess he could rust your spaceship or something, I don't know. Anyway, Chemical King eventually sacrificed himself to save Superboy, so at least there was that.

Condo was made using a Golden Age Starman body, with a sculpted collar, and an Injustice Superman head (yay, I found a use for a part from those awful figures). The head may be a touch small (Mattel seemed to stop trying to make everything in scale at that point) but I thought it was the best representation of how CK often appeared. Nit my favorite character, but after taking on some more time consuming Legion members, I thought someone that wouldn't require much tooling or difficult paint schemes would be a welcome break.
