I was upset with the new Groot they are releasing for the 3.75" Marvel Legends series. So I used some parts and pieces from a BAF Groot that I had and mixed with an extra Rhino to give him that awesome upper body articulation. It made a pretty cool and very articulate addition to the Guardians of the Galaxy 3.75" figure set.

Head/Hands/Legs: Marvel Legends Groot BAF parts.
Body: Marvel Universe Rhino

Sculpted some extra chest and back build. Also added some sculpt to Rhino's skin to add more tree-like texture.

Painted with Vallejo acrylic paint.

Base is a brown color with some dark black washes, with deep reds and green highlights to bring out the natural wood colors.
