As strange of a game as Mojora's Mask was, it was still pretty awesome playing as all the different species, even as much of a runt as Deku Link was, he was still pretty fun. Can't get much more of a runt, than a guy who gets tossed around by a dog like a bone. Also, I find it a bit amusing how he's made of wood for a Sawed-Off Runt contest, but maybe that's just me. So World of Nintendo came out with a Deku Link, in it's 2.5 in line, but it didn't look to scale with anything, and hardly moved. It made a great base head for this figure though, just cut it up a bit, and sculpt him up a bit. The body is from a Sonic the Hedgehog "Tails" figure, with the legs shorter, and used the feet from Deku Link. Hands are from a clone wars Kit Fisto with holes drilled in the arms to keep their articulation. Shaved the Tails down up front, then carved it to look like wood grooves with wood carving tools, and a few grooves on the arms. To make the figure look like wood, I painted him all tan, and went over it with a brown wash. Used black wash on the top of the head for the shadow, and black closer to the hair. Used cloth for the skirt, so no motion restriction, and liquid stitched the bottom for no fraying. Added a swivel joint to the hat in the back so he can twirl like in the game, and be moved slightly to use the stand. The flowers I made from scratch, with a sheet of syrene, and plastic rods, where the flowers actually spin. When all said, and done he's approximately to scale with Figma Link, and has a total of 13 points of articulation.
