This guy here is the old 2005 Dr. Doom with the spinning face gimmick. I've wanted a Dr. Doom for awhile now, but the Epic Heroes one is too rich for my blood, and any of the Toybiz ones seemed lack luster. Getting this guy I thought "Y'know, I honestly like this look, and he's affordable. After getting him I figured I could comic him up a bit, and add that skirt Doom wears. But after I did I figured I'd go all in and make him more like the comic version all around. Except for the arms. I like the clothed arms.

First thing I had to do was saw off the button on his back. It was giant, and looked weird. Then grind down the human face to be the back of the helmet. I'm only glad life isn't like Toy Story, cuz I felt bad filing down what looked like a human face. At that point I thought I'd be satisfied with the look, but then really started to crack down on it. Using apoxie to smooth the head, and cover up his sweater. And his weird second belt. Then I sculpted on his knee pads, smoothed out the folds of his jeans, and covered his sneakers to look more like boots. All the silver is a base coat of black with metallic silver on top of it. The back of the head received a black wash to help it blend in better.

The skirt and cape are just felt I cut and glued onto him. The hood is part of the rubber cloak he originally wore, with the cape attached to that. And a small metal chain painted gold connecting his two circles. The belt is more felt, and the "D" is a sticker painted black with the letter painted gold. I know it's supposed to be a kinda "D" shaped buckle, but that was too tiny for me to sculpt. So I figured I'd ninja turtle it, and make it a buckle with his letter on it.
