This was my toughest custom to date. I love the Commander Deviss design (even though he didn't get any screen time) but I also like how Commander Blys thighs are coloured, so I did a phase one Captain Deviss (before he was promoted to commander) incorporating both his and Blys (clone wars phase 1) designs. His pauldron is made from a coke bottle I cut up, glued together and painted, his Kama is made from an old tshirt and his holsters are made from my Asthma inhaler lid that I cut up and filled with modelling clay and moulded the holes for the blaster so they fit snugly and his ammo belt is made from a cut up cable tidy. I like your work! But I have a question, I'm starting out on making customs, but since I don't have the time to paint my figures I've resorted to using weathering powder to add battle damage but what I would like to know is, how did you add those scratches?

Hi dude, sorry I've only just seen your comment, thanks for the kind words! I use a few techniques, firstly I dry brush the raised areas with black paint and on my newer customs I use a black wash to really add weathering, to get the scratches and the extra damage I use a Stanley knife to scratch and distress areas which for me really adds that extra bit of detail. Yout are right these bootlegs are less Articulated. Specially at the upper legs. And shoulders they don't really habe a ball joint.

Cheers dude! I'm sure you won't mess it up! Deviss was a prototype, I used him to try out some new techniques and I actually took three months to get him finished, the paint work was done in a few hours, it was his equipment that took so long, I'm sure your trooper will be spot on
