So it seems that I have a bit of a thing for crossovers at the moment, and so my latest custom introduces the Predator into the Star Wars universe.
I always wanted to create a predator/Darth Maul mash-up, but never had the suitable parts until recently.
The upper body, arms & boots come from a NECA Berserker, whilst the head and neck are originally from a Lost/Borg predator.
The legs come from a McFarlane Scorpion Assassin figure. the feet had to be cut off and the lower legs trimmed down to fit into the Berserker boots.
The tattered rags around the waist are from a McFarlane Blair Witch figure.
The combistick/lightsaber was created by removing the extended sections from a predator combistick and drilling a hole directly through the middle. I filed down and rounded off the ends of a transparent red acrylic rod that I bought on Ebay & threaded this through the hollowed out combistick handle to create a predators take on the Jedi/Sith's weapon of choice.
Finally, I painted him up using images of Darth Maul & Savage Opress as reference.
