Hey everyone, Back in the late 80's and early 90's the rivalary between Sega and Nintendo was heating up. Nintendo had Mario and Sega came out with Sonic, the two mascots cancelled each other out. Sega then wanted to make this battle with Nintendo a little more interesting. Sega needed to come out with a game that will make nintendo realize that this battle between consoles will be a war. The game that Sega Genesis would released was the classic beat'em up Streets of Rage 1 and 2. Streets of Rage tells the story of three ex police officers..Axel Stone, Blaze Fielding and Adam Hunter who quit the force because of corruption and became vigilantes in a fight against the city main villian and boss Mr. X. The gameplay is similiar to Capcom beat'em up Final Fight but the atomosphere is more moody and the action is a lot quicker. Along with great composer Yuzo Koshiro providing the awesome soundtrack. Many gamers fell in love with this title and created a fanboys rivalary between Final Fight and Streets of Rage. Streets of Rage 2 has Mr. X kidnapping Adam Hunter and wanting revenge against Axel and Blaze. Adam little brother Eddie Skate Hunter and Axel good friend Max Thunder tagged along to help save Adam. Streets of Rage 2 is considered one of the best games for the sega genesis. The competition between Nintendo and Sega brought out the best in creativity for both super nintendo and genesis. A rivalary that will long be remembered during the golden age of gaming. Here what I did to make the Streets Of Rage fighters Axel Stone: Head- DC comics Aquaman Hair- ML Mad Man with some sculpt and bandana Torso- ML Reaper Lower Arms- ML Captain America Lower Legs- WWE Elite, shorten a half inch to fit in scale Blaze Fielding: Head- Diamond Select Izombie Liv Moore Hair- DC collectibles Wonder Woman Torso- ML Spider Woman with sculpt Lower Legs/skirt- WWE Renee Young with sculpt, Adam Hunter: Head- DC Multiverse Superman with hair sculpt Torso- ML Wrarrl Arms- WWE Elite Legs- ML Reaper Boots and knee guards- ML Darkness Eddie"Skate" Hunter: Head- Ultimate Spiderman Miles Morales, cap is from fodder Torso- ML Speed Demon with sculpt and altenate hands Lower Legs- ML Wiccan with sculpted shorts Neck chain- Fodder Max Thunder: Head- ML Rhino Baf with hair sculpt Torso- ML King Hulk with sculpted parts Upper Arms- ML Mr Fix it Hulk with sculpted elbow guard Lower Arms- ML Avengers Hulk Legs- ML Avengers Hulk Boots: ML Movie Thing with sculpt Painted all the figures in their game colors and the Streets of Rage Crew was finally done. Skate is a brilliant recipe from that Miles Morales head right down to those roller blading toes!
Max is huge, massive just like in the game.
You are a master of the fighting game genre like no other on the realm or anywhere else. This presentation is top notch, with the best backgrounds, supporting characters, and overall storytelling. It's very entertaining and nostalgic for all who enjoyed this game. Thanks for bringing it back. SEGA!!!
