The Caterpillar P-5000 Powered Work Loader, commonly referred to as a Power Loader, is a commercial mechanized exoskeleton used for lifting heavy materials and objects. As well as widespread industrial use, the P-5000 is heavily employed by the Colonial Marine Corps to load ordnance on board their starships.
Power Loaders are equipped with hydraulic "claws" that can be used to hold and manipulate a variety of objects. The Colonial Marines also utilized the Exosuit, the military version of the P-5000. Perhaps the most famous use of a Power Loader was when Ellen Ripley used one in desperation to engage a Xenomorph Queen in hand-to-hand combat aboard the USS Sulaco.
When I saw the NECA's Power Loader, I thought to instal it a light device. The hardest part of this project was to open the vehicle's interior without breaking the plastic panel. I used a lithium battery, a LED light, a on/off button and cable to make the circuit. I hope you enjoy it.
Happy birthday Jason ! Congrats, you were blessed with a wife that supports you in your hobby. I agree with you, what a piece!! The only additional detail to be perfect is the light on top. In my custom this light doesn't flash/rotate too. And the light that produce is so faint that was difficult take the pictures. But the positive thing is that with little imagination everything turns perfect.
Hi MantisAbbey. When you put the protection bars up to put the figure, the cube that holds them is hollow , I only carefully remove the bottom panel and I made a hole conecting this space with the lights bar and I installed the lights circuit in that space, I used a litium batery that fits in that space.
