Hello Realmers! I've just finished off this custom a couple days ago, and it has been a tough one for me. it is my first time to custom make a cloth costume for an action figure (bear with my poor stitch work). Batman Year One is my favourite Batman outfit, and I am always wanting to have a figure looking straight out of this comic book. Batman Year One is one of the most well-written Superhero story, I wonder why does it always receive less attention compare to the other Batman products. Probably because the rogues gallery in Year One is not as colourful as the others. Therefore, I felt like taking up the chance to make it on my own. The process was a bit painful, but still a lot of fun. And now, I can have a the cape crusader in his young days standing on my display shelf :) To match the look of Mazzucchelli's work, I looked at the comic repeatedly and took referenced from a statue of Batman Year One released by DC Direct years ago. The recipe: head: DCUC Batman modified with epoxy torso: Marvel Legends Machine Man limbs; Marvel Legends Machine Man modified with epoxy belt: mego vintage Batman's belt modified with epoxy Black and White hand-stitched Lycra costume Thanks for watching! ![]() |
