Among the Fantastic Four, The Thing was the only one I did not customize. I thought the Superhero Showdown figure was just perfect.
But... nothing is set in stone and I wanted a less grumpy Ben Grimm for display in the FF team (the angry one is battling Hulk a few shelves below...)
So I took a spare SHS Thing and swapped the head with a new one, sculpted from scratch. I sanded down his skin and sculpted over some areas, to change the pattern of the cracks.
Repainted with ocker and a orange dry-brush. And a touch of blue for the eyes, of course !
