Metalhead (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:83143
Name:Metalhead
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Creator:SirJordy33
Date Added:June 5, 2016
Base Figure:Metalhead, Ironmonger
Height:7.25 inches
I wanted a Metalhead that could go with either my NECA Turtles or my Classics. I also set out to make him look like he was built and stored in the sewers so I really wanted him to have that rusty oily build-up look to him. Several layers of paint over an Ironmonger with classic Metalhead's head seemed to do the trick. What do you guys think?

great work on Metalhead. Kind of looks like a suit the turtles can get in to battle Shredder. Like Batman's suit. Smart use of an Iron Monger base. Diggin all the metal paint.

Yeah but bigger feet would mean changing these out. Lol.

Or possibly just adding to them. But I wouldn't force it. When you see something that would work to either replace or add to his feet you'll notice and it will just click. Bigger feet would add some much needed "weight" to the bottom of the piece and just restore a sense of balance. It's not completely necessary though, as this is a pretty top notch composition otherwise. If it was mine, which I wish it was lol, Id probably add some wide/ bulky techno feet to where his thighs end just under the knee caps, completely getting rid of most all of the calves. That would really give him some squat, turtlely proportions and make him look like a brick house tank. Probably have to add some faux kneecaps to pull off the look. I think I'm just rambling now, haha. I'm definitely keeping an eye out for this base figure now. I see this being the origin of a wicked staple recipie.

I tracked down an iron monger base. I chopped off his calves and added big ol' robot feet from a electronic walking War Machine. The proportions are sick. I have the metalhead figures for the parts, head and shell. I'm about in the middle of being done and hope to have some more opportunities to do some late night work on him. I'll send you a message when it's done. Hopefully it won't be too terribly long...

Update: Metalhead is built and painted 99%. I have a base but it needs some paint washes. I'm also gonna try and do a good photo shoot, which will take a fair amount of time.
