Hi there! Doctor Doom here was created with one of the best bases available nowadays for him: the Marvel Legends Stryfe. I’ve seen some great work involving this recipe (most notably Stevid and L&A’s Customs), and decided to go and make my own. Base coated with diluted silver acrylics, sanded down the excessive muscular tone and the waist, just to give him more of a slender look, and sculpted over his biceps, just to lose some of the Stryfe factor of the armor. Trimmed skirt is from Radioactive Man, and a no-belt-buckle was adopted for maximum minimalistic asthestics. Masked Head and cape are from the MS Doctor Doom, and the damaged one is from a Marvel Legends Red Skull. For this one, I’ve tried weak drybrushes with pink-ish skin color and a shade of grayish green mixture of my own. Then, I tried damaging a little bit more by scratching the surface until it showed a little bit o the original red . It sure has space for improvement, and I may redo it again, but for now, this is it. Hex effects from Doctor Strange. Originally, I was planning to subscribe him for the Masked Madness contest, but since I gave him a damaged head and made it some sort of a main thing going on for my custom, I thought it would be the exact opposite of a cool tight mask we need to see (which is our own ugly face we try to hide behind it). Anyway, hope you guys like it! ![]() |
