I've never done a Lego 'custom' before, but after going through some old boxes, I found it pretty fun to try and mix and match parts to make original characters. In this case, I went with a Star Wars 'Sith Lord' type character. I wanted an older era, EU feel to him, when Sith Lords looked more like evil royalty than menacing villains. I actually tried to stay more in the lines of the 'purist' form of Lego customizing-in the sense that I didn't paint or modify anything, just mixing and matching Lego parts. However, I did stray from the path a bit with his cape. It's actually from a knockoff MegaBlocks type line and is made of rubber. It fits Lego figures pretty well though and I thought it worked perfectly here, not to mention I wasn't trying THAT hard to be a purist. In any case, I'll probably dabble more in the future just to see what familiar looking characters I can try to Lego-ize. ![]() |
