Swamp Thing is my second favorite superhero. I actually never heard of him before Scott Snyder's New 52 run with the character. This custom was so much fun to make. Although I was basing him off of Scott Snyder's Swamp Thing run, I added vines, leaves and other plants where ever I wanted because Swamp Thing constantly changes how he looks. I highly suggest that everyone do a plant/earth character at least once to see how much fun it can be. I made sure to add his wooden spike and shield like from the comic. I uses magnets on them to allow for easy swapping in and out of pieces. I sanded down Edge's pecks because in the pictures I looked though Swamp Thing never had any. I also added the purple/pink/ flower on him as a "nod" towards the flashback in the comic to when Abigail looses her memory from the flower. For the base used a piece of wood a that glued word dust and scraps to. I got the plants on the base from a hobby store and panted them up. For the weeds/ high grass around the pond used fishing line, glued them together (which is really hard to do) and panted them green. I hope you like him!
