Moon Knight has often been called Marvel's version of Batman, but they have very different origins.

Unlike Bruce Wayne who was the son of a millionaire, Marc Spector was the son of a Jewish rabbi.

Bruce Wayne fights crime as Batman to avenge the murder of his parents from when he was a child. Marc Spector fights crime as Moon Knight because he hopes he can redeem himself for his own sins of the past from when he was a mercenary soldier.

Bruce Wayne chose a bat to be his symbol. He chose to become the Dark Knight. Marc Spector didn't choose, instead he was chosen. He was chosen by an Egyptian god to become a symbol. He was chosen to become the Moon's Knight of Vengeance.

On "Knockoff Night", the Moon Knight will take the place of the Dark Knight to fight the criminals of Gotham City.
